Introduction

The Master of Science in Process Safety and Risk Management is a 2-years, part-time, postgraduate taught programme. It is designed to enable students to understand the overarching requirement of compliance to legislation and to instil into students, the knowledge and skills in measuring and quantifying safety levels, hazardous emissions and exposure levels, and to design and operate inherently safer plants using specialist knowledge and skills.

The programme aims to train students to be competent professionals in the health and safety profession, to enable students to obtain an accredited postgraduate degree qualification for better career development and to enable students to develop a deeper understanding across the broad subject of process safety and risk management.

Admission Requirements

First degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification with minimum second lower classification (2.2)

Candidates without a Bachelor Degree with at least 8 years of working experience and is at least 30 years old will also be considered on a case by case basis

English Language Entry Requirements : IELTS overall 6.5 or equivalent

The course is only available to Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, Singapore Employment Pass holders, Singapore Dependant’s Pass* holders.
