Introduction

The Olin Business School MSF/Singapore Management University MAF programme is a dual-degree offering with one admission cycle per year. Our unique format enables you to earn both degrees in 14 months. You begin the programme at Olin with a five-module summer term. Fall and spring terms take place at SMU; each semester contains seven modules. The programme ends with a second summer term at Olin, composed of seven modules.

All modules are taught by senior faculty members and by industry experts who bring their real-world experience into the classroom. Programme subject matter includes structured products, hedge funds, and private equity.  

Programme Structure

Applicants to the Global Master of Finance Dual Degree (GMF) should have taken at least one course in financial accounting, one course in finance, one in microeconomics, one in statistics, and at least two courses in calculus.

Term 1
(July through August, Washington University, 6 Olin credits)

  • Advanced Corporate Finance I (1.5 credit units)


Term 2
(August through November, SMU, 6 SMU credits)

  • Financial Statement Analysis 1 (1 credit unit)
  • Fixed Income & Derivative Analysis (1 credit unit)
  • Advanced Quantitative & Economic Analysis (1 credit unit)


Term 3
(January through May, SMU, 7 SMU credits)

  • Advanced Portfolio Management (1 credit unit)
  • Advanced Equity Analysis (1 credit unit)
  • Financial Statement Analysis 2 (1 credit unit)

Admission Requirements
  • A good university degree 
  • A good GMAT or GRE score 
  • IELTS or TOEFL (required if the medium of instruction of your undergraduate studies was not English)
